Experiences on and off the piste range from the varied Astberg piste to the magic carpet in the valley, the fun area and the 4.5 km long toboggan run to the winter hiking trail to the Hollenauer Kreuz or to Ellmau.

The Astberg chairlift in Going is open to both skiers and pedestrians and provides easy access to the pistes and winter hiking trails. On the sunny side of the Astberg, the Sonnenlift takes you up in comfort. For beginners, there are the Maxilift and Magic Carpet beginner lifts in the valley - you can even use your own points card for these.

The Astberg piste is a valley run with red and blue variants. It is suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. Carvers like the wide slopes of the Sonnenlift piste. Beginners learn to ski in the valley on the Maxilift and magic carpet.

Arrival & mobility

You can reach Going by car via the Inntal motorway (A12), exit Kufstein-Süd (toll-free) or Wörgl-Ost. If you are travelling by train, take the train to Hopfgarten, Kufstein, Wörgl or St. Johann - from there you can continue by bus or taxi. The nearest airport is Innsbruck, or alternatively Munich or Salzburg. Detailed information on routes, tips and connections can be found directly under the selected means of transport.

From the Hohe Salve, there is a 5.8 km long descent to the valley in Hopfgarten. Experienced skiers can take the black run "Südhang." Shortly after the lift starts, you can also see the most impressive sunrise here! In the valley, beginners can use the practice area with a special ski pass, or children can learn to ski under supervision.
