Brandstadl Bike Tour
Soell
Route description
I start my tour from the village centre in Söll and cycle to the valley station of the Söll-Hochsöll cable car. After about 100 metres, I take a left-hand bend past the idyllic Stampfangerkapelle chapel and continue up to the Bromberg. The Gruberhof is a good place for a first stop and a refreshing break. The route then climbs steadily uphill to the south slope lift. From here, I follow the road, surrounded by beautiful alpine meadows, until I reach the junction with the turn-off to the Tanzbodenalm after a few hairpin bends. There I treat myself to a well-earned break on the cosy sun terrace and enjoy the impressive panorama.
I then cycle back along the forest track and pass the Tanzbodenteich pond. From there, I cycle leisurely downhill towards Ellmau. During the relaxed descent, there is another stopover at the Ranhartalm (refreshment stop - it's best to find out the exact opening times in advance). The route continues past the Frauenwalden farm and through the Weißachgraben to the valley station of the Hartkaiserbahn cable car.
From there I cycle towards Ellmau, turn left just after the bridge and before Gasthof Au and follow cycle trail no. 14, which takes me past Scheffau and back to Söll.
